Wake Up, Quiet Christians!

Matthew 10: 32-33

"Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven."

What makes you quiet about your faith in Christ? What do you fear? What would make you more comfortable? Do you love your life too much? Do you have too much to lose? What will it cost you to speak God's love to others?

Belief begins in the heart, and what's in the heart comes from the mouth (Romans 10:9-10). We proclaim Christ's life because he sacrificed and gave his life for the penalty of our sins. He is our life. Will you recognize him in heaven, if you deny him on earth? Heaven came down to earth, and our belief in Christ allows us to have a continual relationship with God. The more we study God's word, the more we know Jesus and are eager to proclaim Him. This is because His spirit lives in us. Jeremiah said, "If I say, 'I will not mention him, or speak anymore in his name,' there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot" (20:9). In other words, how can I not speak of my God? He is my very life, my hope, my joy, my confidence, and my peace. Even when I try to contain Him, I cannot, because I know Him well. Paul said, "since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke," we also believe, and so we also speak" (2 Cor. 4:13).  God brought heaven to earth through Jesus' birth.  Jesus brought heaven to earth through his sacrifice on the cross and resurrection, and we bring heaven to earth through our witness and testimony of the Savior. We extend God's grace to men by making Jesus Christ known to all.

Professing Jesus Christ as Lord is only the beginning of a continual relationship into eternity. It only gets better for you! The more you know him, the more you desire to make him known. My prayer is that we wake up and give someone else the opportunity and hope that has been given to us!

God Bless!
